Thank you for your interest in speaking with Dr. Cate!

Dr. Cate has recently started offering a limited number of virtual appointments (by Google Meet video or phone) to folks. Outside the state of FL, these appointments are not legally considered medical care.

Dr. Cate specializes in fixing your problems at the root. She can tell you if something in your diet is causing your issues, and what may be missing from your diet that will help. She is an expert in all types of diets as well as in how meal timing affects metabolism.

Medical doctors do not learn about the toxicity of seed oils. If we did, more of us would realize that many diseases currently considered incurable are actually caused primarily by seed oils.

Without that fundamental knowledge doctors, therefore, prescribe drugs to treat conditions better managed with diet.

Statins and immune-suppressing agents represent some of the most dangerous drugs commonly used simply because medical science is overlooking the impact of seed oils on human health.

Dr. Cate’s health education information provided during the appointment will help you support your body’s biology in the most effective way, which is to say with real food.  She can also help you identify unnecessary and potentially harmful prescriptions and supplements.

In addition to getting to the root cause of complex, undiagnosed, or improperly diagnosed conditions, Dr. Cate can also help you with these common health problems:

  • Overweight
  • Insulin Resistance —–> Type 2 Diabetes (its a spectrum)
  • Anxiety
  • Bipolar
  • ADD
  • Cholesterol concerns
  • Prediabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Fatty liver
  • Atherosclerosis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Early heart failure (called diastolic dysfunction)
  • Memory declines
  • Thyroid issues
  • Gout
  • Kidney stores
  • Gallbladder problems.

Feel free to send a reasonable amount of your records ahead of time by email or fax. Please label the files. To avoid spam I ask that you please request my fax number when you make the appointment.

How To Prepare for the Virtual Visit

How will the appointment take place?

Dr. Cate will send a zoom link prior to the appointment. If you do not want to use Zoom, she will call you on the phone number provided when you registered.

Dr. Cate will admit you into the room at the time of your appointment.

Do you offer in-person appointments?

The appointments are telehealth only.

Do you take insurance?

Not at this time.

Virtual appointments must remain in compliance with current telehealth laws. During the visit, Dr. Cate will draw on her decades of medical experience and metabolic expertise, offer her opinion and insights on prescription medications, cholesterol levels, other lab tests and provide general information on previously diagnosed conditions and testing that may be done to assess those conditions, but to remain in compliance with telehealth regulations the service she is providing is health coaching. She is unable to assume care as your personal physician, due to state regulations.

If you reside in the state of FL and have out-of-network benefits you can submit a paid invoice and may be able to get reimbursed for a portion of the visit expense. Outside of Florida I do not work with insurance, however, you may be able to submit a paid invoice for reimbursement by an HSA or FSA account.

Florida residents:

Dr. Cate is a licensed physician in the state of Florida and as such, she is licensed to provide medical advice to Florida residents for in-person visits or on virtual calls.

Non-Florida residents:

Any information or advice provided by Dr. Cate on a virtual call is considered health coaching and is not to be interpreted as licensed medical care.
